Pic 1 shows approaching from Long Street.Pic 2 shows the gate across Long Street. Here we turn right 90 degrees and travel through the half barrier. Pic 3 shows the half barrier. Pic 4 shows the half barrier looking back after passing through. Pic 5 looking ahead again at the 'cycle track'. Pic 6 and the 'cycle track' is just through the gate. Pic 7 is looking left from the same spot as the previous pic was taken from down beside the college. Note the rails leading up to the right. Pic 8 shows those rails and another gate leading onto the 'cycletrack' which runs from Kings Avenue to Back Hamlet. Click on the hyperlink below for slide show of these pics. NO DEFINITIVE MAP = NO FOOT PATHS LEFT IN IPSWICH

The map is only 50 years old yet these Foot Paths are lost already.

Otter House on the map used to stand on the corner of what is

now Brazierswood Road and Clapgate Lane opposite Stan Birds place.

I have walked this route all my life without any problem.

A new family have arrived and everything has to change.

The gate at Waterford Road end is locked at night now.

The new folks at 114 Waterford Road have control now.

They lock the gate because they have aggravated local kids.

They think locking the gate will stop kids outside their home.

The kids live there and beside they can get over the gate easily.

Old people and women can now be trapped as all the other

entrances are open so walk in from Norwich Road and there

is no way out at Waterford Road unless someone knocks on

the door of 114 and asks them to open the gate. They will

soon get fed up of folks staggering home from the pub at

12 midnight knocking them up to open the gate.

Here it is. It is locked before dusk now apparently.

The gate is unlawful as it is across a Foot Path.
